A teenager walks into a new business and asks the manager working for a job application. As the teenager is filling it out they think nothing of how she’s going to manage their time, just envisioning all of the clothes and food they can now get. Teenagers want clothes, shoes, food, and anything else that costs money! While that is normal, teens should make their own money to get what they want comparatively to what their parents or someone else is buying for them. Teenagers are expensive and parents are often the ones who must pay for what the teenagers want. The working career begins after the completion of schooling, beginning the transformation is very difficult. That is why teens have been expected to get jobs during high school. Teens are expected to get jobs seeing that it demonstrates responsibility. Responsibility is “the opportunity or ability to act independently and make decisions without authorization.” Some kids get jobs and some don’t. The reason some teenagers get jobs is due to their families not being able to afford the necessities that they need, or they’re just looking for something to do with their time and want some of their own extra money. Most teenagers are too busy to get jobs and don’t because of sports and school work. They won’t be able to just spend it on whatever they want.
