There are many new smartphones, tablets, computers and televisions coming out annually, each better than the last one. Nobody thinks much of it, it is simply a normal thing for them now. Most people simply live in leisure, relaxing on their sofa, watching shows on their brand new television, and texting their buddies. That is the main reason as to why society, humanity and people, as a whole are now being destroyed and ruined. Obesity rates are skyrocketing, and it seems like the very comfort of a video game, a television screen, or a smartphone, are the culprits. Children and teenagers are no exception, with a disquieting research showing that 97% of 11 to 16-year-olds having a mobile phone, and they would much rather sit in front of a screen, rather than exercising, or being productive with their lives (“Screen Addicts”). The research mentioned before showed that juveniles also spend an average of one hour, and fifty minutes online, and two hours and forty minutes in front of a bright television screen daily. All of that time watching television, browsing the internet, and being on their phone definitely changes a person. Speaking of changes, narcissistic behavior in everybody of all ages, is an additional issue. People should have seen this coming, considering how virtually everybody seems to take “selfies”, which are just self-portraits taken with their smartphone, out in public, and posts them just as often. However, just as narcissism can occur, antisocial and withdrawn behavior can be just as likely to arise. Many behavioral issues seem to appear, and narcissistic behavior is only one of these issues; another major issue is antisocial and reclusive behavior. Something as simple as going at to dinner, and being with your friends is a fantasy now, as everybody brings their phone, and typically never talk face-to-face. Most of the people at the dinner would just be on their phone, and eating at the same time, oblivious to the world around them. Online socialization has replaced face-to-face conversation, and it feels as though people, in general, are more likely to stay home and chat online, than go out with their friends and have a great time together. This is, yet again, another epidemic. Soon, all socialization will just be replaced by online apps, and going out with friends, to just shop, hang out and eat, will be a mere fantasy, when people can just text them, or message them any time they would
