Taylor Swift is a pop/country singer. She was born in Pennsylvania, and started singing at a very young age. She has been nominated for many Grammy’s. Taylor Swift sings some of the most popular songs such as Wildest Dreams and Shake it off. Taylor Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on December 13,1989. She often spent her summers at the Jersey Shore in Stone Harbor. She first got her interest in singing when she was nine. When Taylor Swift was twelve a computer repairman taught her some cords on the guitar which later led to write her first song “Lucky You.”She moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 14 because she thought that in order to advance in the musical world she had to live in Nashville. She released her first album during her freshman year of highschool, The critics viewed Taylor Swift positively and praised her talent because of her young age. All of her singles were recognized for certain aspects. “Tim McGraw” was appreciated because it was her special delivery song. One of her most special singles in that album was “Should’ve Said No” because it certified double platinum by RIAA. Her second album was Fearless and was released on November 11, 2008. Fearless became the best selling album of 2009. In 2010, Fearless won a Grammy. This made Taylor Swift at the age of 18 the youngest artist in history to have a best selling album. Her first album that was written without any co-writers was Speak Now and was released on October 25, 2010. Taylor Swift’s two most recent albums are Red and 1989. Red was released on October 22, 2012. The title was inspired by her emotions with all the relationships going on through her songwriting process. Many really enjoyed this album and liked her transition for Country to Pop. Taylor Swift’s most recent album, 1989, was released on October 27, 2014. 1989 sold 1.287 million copies during the first week of the album release date. 1989 won two Grammy’s. It won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal
