Have you ever came across a song that you like to sing, wrote, or heard, and you just love it? We all have songs that mean the most to us, that take us to a special place, or our escape. Another factor that helps us love the song is the artist that sings the tune. One amazing artist that has great vocals, emotion in her songs and not to mention is one of the biggest names in music today, is the one and only Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood has both influenced and been influenced by country music her whole life, especially the past decade that she has lived as one of Country Music’s biggest superstars! Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and raised in Checotah, Carrie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 (Carrie Underwood Biography). Underwood was a normal country girl, who loved living on a farm in a one stop light town caring for animals, and being in nature. Little did she know she would steal America’s Heart (Silverman). Carrie Underwood was the new American Idol. The Oklahoma native country girl beat her runner up rocker from Alabama, Bo Bice. Not only did Underwood win the title she also won the $1 million dollar record contract (Silverman). Then at the age of twenty-two Carrie belted her last song of the competition, “Angels Brought Me Here” to get people’s votes for the season finale. “You have lots of guts. You’re competing with someone who’s older. Carrie, I think you’ve done enough to win this competition, said judge Simon Cowell (Silverman).” With not only the harshest judge on her side, but America as well there was not doubt Carrie would win the title. “Thank you so much, everybody,” said Carrie as she was crying. She then sang her new single to be released June 14, “Inside Your Heaven”
