The documentary, Super-Size Me, was created for two main reasons. One is to show how harmful the fast food products can be and two how eating fast food has become a part of this countries culture in a negative way. McDonalds has even opened shop overseas impacting other countries cultures in negative ways as well. This documentary has proven that eating McDonalds a lot has caused liver problems, chest pains, obesity, and cholesterol problems. This has shown that the food has a direct impact on someone’s helath. Morgan has even mentioned McDonalds and their foods have been effecting his moods.

In this documentary, they showed that in his first weigh in Morgan gained at least nine pounds from what he was eating. He was gaining so much weight so quickly that his dietitian wanted him to adjust his meals and take more vitamins so that nothing major happens to him because he is gaining weight rapidly. The calorie intake for eating McDonalds 3 times a day is a huge increase compared to the 2000 calorie diet that is recommended by the FDA and we don’t even need that much. Men need more calories than women but the FDA recommended 2000 calories a day diet is a little high for most females to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. Morgan was eating roughly 5000 calories a day during his super-size me mouth. That is 3000 more calories than even the suggested amount by the FDA. This just goes to show you how extensively fast food effects humans health. It has been proven that a person could smoke six cigarettes a day double that of what he currently eats for sixty days and double the time he spent eating those meals and still be in better health then eating McDonalds for 3 times a
