Carver's "Women in Florida" is regarding women’s rights issues. She notes that in the United States, Florida is one of the most populated; women are roughly equal the population to men. Yet, women are still seen as a minority group. Women are considered minorities, because they do not share the same power, privileges, rights, or opportunities as men.
