It was third grade and I had moved to another school. It was close to my other school, but it wasn’t even in the same county. I was nervous. I didn’t know anyone and as someone who was shy and awkward, I didn’t really talk to anyone. As I began towards my seat where my name had been impeccably placed, a girl in the row next to mine suddenly, enraged, yelled at the boy behind her, who was tapping his pencil. I would observe this type of similar behavior from her more time than not. Most people strived to stray from any noise that might have irritated her.
