The book was first published in 2003, however the 2nd edition, which was used for this investigation, was revised and later republished in 2008. This means that all the information was re-evaluated and updated, to make sure it was current.
Relevance
This book was very beneficial in understanding about the nutritional values and aspects of the No White Foods Diet. It was intended to be a resource for school children, so only relevant information was included, in a way that was easy to understand. After looking at various other sources, this one seemed the best for a variety of uses due to these benefits.

Accuracy
The information would have been compiled from numerous sources and been reviewed by the editor before being published. Seeing this was the 2nd edition, the information would’ve been reviewed again as well. Other sources that were looked at before this one, showed similar information, which is another way to check that it is accurate. The tone used is very formal, which doesn’t indicate any bias, and an extensive amount of information is often given, not only those leaning towards one viewpoint.
Purpose
All of the information presented by this source was intended to be provided to students and people researching various topics around nutrition. This means it was mostly factual and a very good choice for this investigation.
