Soup to Nuts That store has everything from soup to nuts is a saying that you probably has come across or have heard somebody say it. Well, it may not come as a surprise to you to learn that it was a title of a Three Stooges film. Laure and Hardy had starred in a film going by the title “From Soup to Nuts” before the Stooges film of 1930. In the comedy film from soup to nuts, Laurel and Hardy act as butlers who have been hired to serve in a high society dinner party. The two of them were clumsy butlers and there was a time Laurel served the salad in his underwear after being asked to serve salad undressed. The ill-fated Hardy falls once again on another cake and bemuses the guests. At one point, Laurel is angered by Hardy’s actions and accuses him of doing that on purpose. As the show progresses, the two keep falling every now and then as they try to serve the guests. The duo continue bemusing the guests with un-professional behavior. It is fascinating how some habits that are said to have originated a long time ago in the human society have died with time and no longer exists. The term soup to nuts comes from the time of plenty. From a perspective, it can be viewed as a trendy way of portraying progressive dinner-one that begins with soup and ends with munchies. These munchies are good to go with your after-dinner drinks (nuts). The term ‘soup to nuts’ can be strongly attributed to the Romans, this is so since it was the Wealthy romans who were infamous for holding dinner parties which were outstandingly unique.
