People on social media might think about what makes a great social media influence. Many factors make an outstanding social media influencer. The boys raised with fame in an app called Vine; Therefore, gaining over 3.2 million followers on vine (“Learn about Grayson Dolan”). Soon after starting to be well known on social media they move to the YouTube platform after Vine not being available anymore. There the twins Ethan and Grayson continued to express their entertainment on YouTube. Their YouTube channel consisted of skits, challenges, and blogs. They upload their content to the YouTube channel known as the Dolan twins; Usually, uploading videos every Tuesday. Ethan and Grayson started their YouTube channel back in the year 2014. Throughout the years the twins have earned awards like the team choice award and the best streamer online. Today Ethan and Grayson have over 5 million subscribers on YouTube since the start of their YouTube channel in March 2014 (TheDolanTwins). Their videos are on average ten minutes long and have been viewed 109 million times on each ten-minute video on YouTube …show more content…

The boy's videos have much more entertainment and excitement in their videos. The usefulness of their content is fundamental because the audience of there channel have different things to watch so they don't get bored of watching the same subject over and over. On the other hand, Jeffree Star is a makeup artist that has been doing makeup since high school. Jeffree star is another YouTube example of an influential person on social media. Jeffery’s videos consist of criticism on different types of makeup to see if the makeup gets his approval on how good the particular item is. Although Jeffery is a significant influence, he is not the best when it comes comparing them to the Dolan boys. Jeffery only has videos on YouTube related to make up. While on the other had Ethan and Grayson have a variety of videos that consist of skits, challenges, and vlogs. Another very influential social media person that is online is Jake Paul. Jake Paul is a YouTube influencer that uploads content of pranks, vlogs, and his music videos. However, Jake Paul is not better than the Dolan twins because he is very disrespectful of his surroundings and others, loud and is always involved with the police. Having respect for surroundings is a reason why the twins are much better than Jake. The Dolan twins show respect to their surroundings and others.
