Thomas Dekker once said, “Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together.” Society says that people have to get as much done as one possibly can before going to bed and that a few hours of sleep can go a long away. There have been studies that have proven this but it is also obvious. When someone is tired and has no time to sleep, what do they do? They go get a cup of coffee, a donut, or something that has high amounts of sugar in it to “pick them up”. Or they skip going to the gym because they are too tired to work out. This is dangerous when people drive late at night, or early in the morning, because they cannot react fast enough to other drivers and the stop light. It becomes difficult to concentrate and people get confused more easily with the less and less sleep they get. The symptoms of sleep deprivation are extremely close to those of someone who is drunk.
