The objectives of this report are to:
• Establish if Silulo Ulutho is being managed strategically.
• Apply the strategic management theories.

Scope
This report examines the following:
• How is the organization being managed strategically? What gaps have been identified?
• How does the organization set themselves apart from their rivals and show how the components of McKinsey’s 7-S model are aligned to give them their competitive edge. What gaps has been identified?
• How does strategic leadership manifest itself in the organization? What is their understanding of corporate governance and how responsible is the organization as a business? What gaps have been identified?

Background
Four people started Silulo Ulutho Technologies as a small Company in 2004. It has since grown both in revenue generation and staff employment. The company name is derived from three original individual names SI of Sigqibo, LU of Luvuyo and LO of Lonwabo completing their company name Silulo. The company as a brand has become a trusted service provider in the townships. They have since been accredited by MICT, Seta and software organisations like Microsoft.

Silulo Ulutho Technologies provides affordable IT and business services to previously disadvantaged communities. They also provide computer training, computer access, computer software & hardware and mobile phone sales in both Western Cape and Eastern Cape. They specialise in Web development, marketing and branding.

Silulo Ulutho Technologies employed120 staff members who have helped the company grow its revenue from less than R50 000 in 2004 to a multi-million rand business by 2013. They currently have 27 IT centres in Western Cape & Eastern Cape and are aggressively expanding to o...

This they see as their way of giving back to the communities that mainly supportstheir business. Mr Luvuyo Rani gives motivational talks upon invitationsto various churches around the community. At certain intervals Silulo Ulutho Technologies organizes car wash days to nurture entrepreneuring spirit to the youth.
3.3. What gaps have we identified?
Most of their initiatives are community, employee, consumers, stakeholders based but nothing was mentioned about environmental initiatives.

4. Conclusion
We can safely conclude that Silulo Ulutho Technologies manage their company strategically due to the following findings:
They have a vision and mission statement; they have a clear strategy on how they set themselves apart from their rivals.
