Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet was a beautiful, yet confusing story. To help us comprehend the old english style, we read the story in different mediums. We read each act in different styles. We started with the original piece, then we switched to the modern version. We after watched the movie, and read the final act in a comic book version. Each was different and similar, some were easier and some harder. I am comparing the original and the modern version because those to are similar but still have a lot of differences. I am additionally comparing the movie to the comic book because they both had visuals. When we first started, we read straight from the textbook. When reading this it was harder to understand than the modern version. It was also harder to understand compared to the modern cause we had visuals to help us understand what exactly was happening. Also while reading the book it was hard to understand what each word meant because it is not written in the english we are used to seeing. Sometimes I did not understand exactly what they were talking about, but it was easy to figure out from the motions and actions they acted out. The movie was also entertaining making it easier to stay engaged and watch the plot go along. The Comic book was also entertaining, however, you couldn't really figure out what was going on if you didn't understand because it was just a picture of one certain thing that happened compared to seeing everything as it goes along. The comic book also made it a little easier to read, but still kept the old english styled writing. They both left out parts of the plot that was in the original piece. They were both helpful with the visuals they gave and allowed you to follow along compared to just the
