The Marvel Cinematic Universe, also known as the MCU, is home to some of the most beloved characters in the entertainment industry. Actors who portray characters from popular comic books are often propelled to international stardom, because of the sheer popularity and the genuine like of the fictional characters they pretend to be. Additionally, it most definitely helps that the actors contain a universal appeal for not only their superb embodiment of a character but for their good looks. Two popular characters are Anthony Edward “Tony” Stark and Steve Rogers. Neither one of them have personalities that seem to mesh properly, as a result of their differing ideologies of the world. So, their friendship, though it may be meaningful, is also very complex. Although these two characters have a complicated history together and are polar opposites, they do have similarities— their occupation, loyalties, and relationships.
Tony Stark was captured by the terrorist organization, the Ten Rings, and was commissioned by them to build weapons. With his life on the line, Tony Stark created a weaponized suit of armor that he used to escape his captors and return home, becoming the superhero known as Iron Man (Iron Man (2008).
