The purpose of this project is to the solve myth of if Mint Mentos (a hard candy). Actually cools things down. The project will need Mentos also hot water. Also a thermometer . Check to see what temperature the water is. Then pour 5 Mentos into the water. Record the temperature to see if it has changed. Add five more Mentos at a time . Record the temperature of the water every 30 minutes. Use the other glass of water to refer it to the one you have experimented with. Record it with a chart. Label one side Minty water, and the other Regular water. Label each box after how many Mentos was inserted to the water.Ex(After 5,10,15,20..). Once everything is written on the chart that is Going to be the conclusion to the experiment.

The purpose of this experiment was to identify which brand of mint gum holds its flavor the longest. The four brands I chose were Orbit, Trident, Ice Breakers, and Wrigley's Doublemint My hypothesis was that Trident brand would last the longest and Wrigley's Doublemint would last the shortest. I did not use any people in my test. I chewed the same amount of gum at a time and the gum was all the same flavor, mint. All the gum was bought at the same time from the same store. I chewed the four brands of gums between periods of time. When chewing, I timed myself with a stopwatch. When I believed the gum ran out of flavor, I stopped the timmer and recorded the time. My hypothesis was incorrect. Instead of Trident, Orbit lasted the longest. However

By making sure I do these checks before I do the experiment means that I should be able to get accurate results as the test will have been run fairly and hopefully successfully as there should not have been anything gone wrong. To make sure all the measurements are correct, I will also run checks. These checks when recording the data are. Make sure to check the thermometer to see what temperature the water is at the start, so I am able to see what it has to be when its been heated by 10 degrees.
Another reason is that everytime I look on youtube and social media I see all the coke and mentos tags but I have never seen anyone try to experiment with Sprite, so then the idea kind of exploded at me to do something that I don’t even know might work so all together this experiment I am doing is really a big gamble.
