Kool-aid Kool-aid was invented by a man named Edwin Perkins He was born in the state of Iowa but he eventually went to live in Nebraska. At about 1927 he invented Kool-aid He was inspired by the drink Fruit smack, but because he wanted to lower the cost of shipping he removed all fluids from the drink. This dry powder eventually became Kool-aid. However Kool-aid did not always go by the same name It was originally Kool-Ade but because Ade refers to juice he had to change it tho the name it has today. Eventually Kool-aid got their own mascot the cool-aid man (He often broke through walls), They also had a comic with 7 issues, along with the Atari 2600 came the “Adventures of Kool-aid Man”. Over 17,000 animals live in the zoo. The name Henry Doorly comes from the name of a donors husband Henry Doorly. The zoo was named 1st in the world by trip advisor.

Nebraska corn huskers football team Like manny colleges across the US the University of Lincoln Nebraska has a college football team. The team is called the Nebraska Corn-Huskers, There were manny nicknames for the team before, But this was the one that stuck. The name was originally thought of by Charles Sherman in 1899. The football team is part of the pride of the state, for the sport and toward the university. The 5th African American football player was on the huskers. At that time the university was a mostly white university. During the 1900s the team won 5 national titles. For the past 340 games in memorial stadium every single seat has been taken
