My Name is Khan is a film that deals with the issues concerning our society. This is a story on how faith in love heals all wounds. Rizvan Khan is a Muslim child who grew up with his brother and mother. He is a person affected with Asperger’s Syndrome. He is extremely intelligent but lacks in social skills. Rizvan grows up under the guidance of his mother. His mother taught him with right values. After the death of his mother, Rizvan follow his brother in America to find his own happiness. There he met a Hindu named Mandira, a lively salon owner. He fell in love with Mandira and doesn’t stop until she says yes to his marriage proposal. The date 9/11 changed everything in their fairy tale love story. Many lives are lost and trust became betrayal as the World Trade Center turns into ashes. After the 9/11 bombing Rizvan’s family suffered great discrimination. This also affected the friendship of Reese and Sam.
