Grit What does grit mean? Psychologist Angela Duckworth defines it as an effort to reach a long term goal. How do you know if you know if you have grit? I know I have it,because I have demonstrated it many times throughout my life and it has made me excel as a person in today's society. How can grit be shown? A memory that comes to my mind when demonstrating grit is my soccer game that may have been a loss if me and my team did not try our hardest.We were in the middle of a match and it as halftime.We were up two to zero and then they get the kick off.They rush us through the right side and they slipped because my teammate kicked the ball and his foot was in front of the ball and he fell but it was all ball and he gave them a free kick and they scored.It as two to one but we were still confident and played harder but they rush us in a counter attack and our last man slides and it's a penalty but the ball was outside the box.They scored and we were tied and at this point the referee was giving them every foul he could give but we started telling the referee and he as getting mad so we started playing to our best and they got a free kick but we created a counter push and then we passed the ball around until our forward opened up and rushed the left side
