Anne Frank, one of the main characters in the book Diary of Anne Frank, influenced the people around her by the way she acted and felt. She had hope that everyone and herself will get out of this war out safely while others thought that they will all get captured. Some symbols that have influenced this idea are the broken glass window, her diary, and the Hanukkah Gifts. The quote that represents me character is,” What’s the good of that? She gave gifts to everyone in the Annex, and this shows how she will do anything to make everyone happy. Since she gave gifts to everyone,this made everyone happy and made them realize that there is still hope. If there weren’t any hope, everyone including Anne will be depressed and horribly miserable. Anne is the one that keeps the bad and the good in check by letting everyone know that there is still faith. The diary showed one of Anne’s dreams, which was being a writer. This helped her get one step closer to her dream job, but going to a concentration camp was the only part that stapped her from achieving her goal. Having a diary, Anne wrote all her feeling and everything that happened in the annex. The words she wrote in the diary showed her youth and immaturity. As time passed her writing style changed showing us that she is not immature and young. Since her writing became symbolic, she expresses her dreams through her own expressions.
