When I was in my high-school, I discovered that I am more into science and mathematics. I already knew that I wanted to be an engineer, but I did not know which type of engineering in particular! I have not thought much about this because students usually decide after they finish their first year in the university. I applied to many universities and scholarships after I graduated from high-school. Fortunately, one of the best scholarship from an oil company accepted me; however, in this scholarship, they are the ones who decide which type of engineering you will be studying, not you! Anyway, they will give you a list and let you choose some majors and let you choose from them. I successfully completed all the required steps, and Chemical Engineering was assigned to me. Chemical engineering was not my first preference in the list, so I was really undecided whether I should continue with them or not. I could have gone to a university that would let me study the major that I thought I wanted to study -which was computer engineering. I thought a lot about it, and consulted some friends and relatives, and asked …show more content…

After a small search, I found that chemical engineers somewhat do what chemists do but in a large scale, which will promote some problems that does not exist in the small lab. And this is what engineers do in general -problem solving.
