During our group discussions we brainstormed many ideas and communities we felt we wanted to help collectively. We figured this would be a pivotal step in deciding the community we wanted to work with and the impact our group wanted to make. Many of these communities included special education children, homeless people, long term hospital patients and many more. During our brainstorming sessions many of our group members were extremely excited about the ideas that were being generated. One of our biggest challenges was not committing to any one idea that would become too extensive. We accepted the fact that every idea will have its challenges but worth the effort at the end. The warm care package is going to be a personalized donation bundle with two articles of winter clothing, a motivational note written by those who donated. Additionally, we want to provide small cards with locations of where they can grab free hot beverages and soups throughout the winter months.These additional cards and information that we will provide offers future opportunities to be able to eat and drink something warm. In hopes that our interaction goes beyond one interaction and opens up the belief of hope. We also find that this is a great opportunity for those individuals who want to give back during the holiday season but have a busy schedule. Those donating will have the ease of dropping the clothes off with our group members and we will make sure it goes to someone that is in need.We will be asking for clothing donations from friends, families and colleagues along with a positive personalized message to reinforce a positive outlook on a homeless person’s life.
