I looked at myself in the mirror, unsure about the new image my maids were trying to help me pull off.

“Are you sure about this Anne?” I asked again, and she nodded enthusiastically.

“Definitely! The whole room’s eyes will be on you!” Lucy said dreamily and I smiled at the younger girl.

“You’ll have your chance soon Lucy,” I said to the sweet girl who was now lost in a daydream.

“Oh I hope so, My Lady! But I’ll never be as beautiful as you,” Lucy said shyly, and I gathered her in for a hug.
