Sweatshops exploit people, and children. They take advantage of their poverty, and there need, for a better life. Sweatshops are one of the worst things that ever happened to the business world, and poor people around the world. Sweatshops should be stopped, and ended. 61% in Asia, 32% in Africa, and 7% in Latin America. Many of these children are forced to work. They are denied an education, and a normal childhood. Some are confined, and beaten. Some are denied the right to leave the workplace, and go home to their families. Some are even abducted, and forced to work. There are also different types of products that the people in sweatshops make like shoes, clothing, rugs, toys, chocolates, coffee, and bananas. While there are also different age workers some of them are children working which violate child labor laws. Most companies, or factories are checked by inspectors who are paid by the industry. An example would be the incident that happened in Bangladesh on April 24,2013 where the building collapsed, and left a lot of people injured. The incident could have been prevented if they would have listened to the inspector when he told them that there was a crack in the wall, but they didn’t listen, and when back inside to work. This later caused a riot against the owner of the building. Around the same year several factories where shutdown in Bangladesh, for safety reasons, and in another part of the capital a fire broke out which killed eight people in a fire including its owner. Even though Bangladesh is one of the largest garment country in the retail business it is also one of the poorest there is.
