Most students are already familiar with how the internet works and can use those skills to help learn. Money is always an issue in education and technology can help. Virtual field trips, electronic forms instead of paper, email instead of printed memo’s, virtual labs, electronic textbooks, and the thousands of free online resources can all save schools money and give students excellent educational experiences.

If schools are going to spend thousands of dollars on computers for the students they should buy computers that can fit the needs of the students properly. Technologies main goals, according to The U.S. Department of Education states that technology “expands course offerings, experiences, and learning materials; supports learning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; builds 21st-century skills; increases student engagement and motivation; and accelerates learning.” Technology does these things if it is used properly. It needs to be executed by not only the school but also the students as well.
