Writings, erasures, crumpled papers, document with many file names like: document 1, doc 2, doc final, doc super final, these are the usual things that we encounter as we do our projects or assignments. We always start again from the beginning if we think that there is something wrong with our work.
Perfectionism, a personality trait that tends us to think that there is a mistake even if there is none. Perfectionists set high standards to their works to be free from any kind of flaws. However, how perfect is their work? Why do they always see their imperfections? Are they really satisfied with the results of their works

Who are these people? Parents, relatives, and even your classmates and friends. According to Gordon Flett, a perfectionist always think this way, "The better I do, the better I'm expected to do." That’s why, perfectionists always give their best because they don’t want to disappoint the high expectations of people.
Fear of failure—having a mindset of not committing mistakes is hard. For perfectionists, not meeting their goals reflect their self-worth. They’re starting to question their own judgments. People like them become afraid of taking risks especially if they disappoint the people around them. Mistake equals failure. According to Burns, “Perfectionists who frequently feel they have failed because they are unable to meet their expectations, respond to a sense of failure with depression, anxiety, and loss of self-esteem.”
Unrealistic expectations—achievements and standards become the measurement of success. Perfectionists see their efforts with no sign of mistake, and always highest and the best. But in reality, efforts come from mistakes and failures that we’ve done. According to Silverman, “Perfectionism is not bad.
