Have you ever lost yourself or become addicted to something attractive? Many students will answer that they were addicted to video gaming, gambling, or watching TV series. However, for me, the most attractive thing is solving puzzles and discovering unknown mysteries. Solving Sudoku puzzles is my favorite because I have to think about multiple possibilities carefully and speculate the correct solutions. After considering problems comprehensively and figuring out the answers easily by following the logic, a sense of accomplishment will make me happy for awhile. I have the same feeling when playing puzzles as solving computer science problems, so I would like to be a programmer or a game designer in the future. This research is conducted by the GRAIL group and affiliated with the Center for Game Science and the Animation Research Labs at UW, which perfectly matches my interest. However, if Computer Science department don’t accept me, Mathematics will be my alternate major. I think UW Seattle can help me to accomplish my academic goal, and they would not reject a competitive person like me as their student. I always believe that the more competitors I have, the more I am excited instead of exhausted. From my perspective, the competitions motivate me to be more knowledgeable and powerful. What’s more, I am an independent girl since I have started my own business. Now I can partly support myself by selling Chinese handcrafts on eBay and getting scholarships from the college.
