It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner. “Tommy,” my father hollered up the stairs, “it’s for you. It’s Austin, and he sounds upset.” As I came downstairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice quiet evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Austin.
Thirty minutes later, however, Austin’s silver DeLorean curved into our driveway, and Austin was leaning on the horn before the car came to a full stop. Grabbing my coat from the couch, I walked out my front door with all the enthusiasm of a man going to stand before a firing squad. Austin pressed a button in the car and the car door flew open. “What took you so long?” Austin asked while turning on the car.
“I was using

“We have to save Tupac” Austin answered.
“Who’s Tupac” Tommy asked while Austin has a shocked look on his face.
“Who’s Tupac!” Austin screamed, “You don't know Tupac Amaru Shakur? 2Pac? Makaveli? Pac?
“Ohhh, the dude from N.W.A?” Tommy questioned.
“No you idiot, he was one the greatest rappers ever and he’s a record producer, actor, and poet. He sold over 75 million records worldwide!” Austin explained.
“Ok, so what happened to him?” Tommy asked as he started to drive the car.
“On September 7, 1996, American hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. The shooting happened at 11:15 p.m. When the car with Pac stopped at a red light at East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. Pac was struck by four .40 caliber rounds fired from a Glock: two in the chest, one in the arm, and one in the thigh. He died from his injuries six days later in the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. The murder remains officially unsolved.” Austin replied.
“Wow, you did your research” Tommy responded surprised.
“Yes I did”, Austin replied, “now let's go look for some

As Austin drove down the packed Vegas road, I could smell a mix of used cigarettes that was burning when I breathed it in. I looked around noticing the lights flashing everywhere, even though it was twelve thirty in the afternoon. I could taste the grittiness in the air from all of exhaust coming from the hundreds of cars in the city. We walked through the city and we noticed all the garbage everywhere. It felt like we were walking through a pile of stinky clothes and wrappers.
Vegas is like a whole different world in 1990. Las Vegas was the only major city in the American West to have been founded in the 20th century, Las Vegas grew from a tiny, desert-bound railroad service centre at the outset of the 20th century of the country’s fastest-growing metropolis at century’s end. This transformation made it possible by a combination of access to water, an extensive transportation network, and permissive state laws. It has created the city now often known simply as “Vegas”, a place of vast casinos.
Austin took out a folder from his backpack and started reading something to himself.
“What’s that?” I asked as Austin started to take out some
In November 1994 Tupac was shot five times, where thieves made off with forty thousand dollars worth of his possessions.
Tupac Amaru Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 in New York City to Afeni Shakur, a Black Panther member since 1968. She gave birth to him 2 months after she was released from Women’s House of Detentions in Grenwich Village. She was charged with conspiracy to bomb several New York public locations and just had her bail revoked. In court she represented herself and won against the state of New York in a surprising turn out. In Incan dialect, his name Tupac Amaru means “shining serpent” and Shakur is Arabic for “thankful to God.” For most of his childhood his crack addicted mother shuffled Tupac between the ghettos of Harlem and the Bronx. Young Tupac began his performance career with the 127th Street Ensemble and then enrolled Baltimore School for the Arts where he was educated in ballet and acting. Tupac was forced to drop out of the school because he had to move to California with his mother, where his criminal career began. He left his house at the age of 17 because of the continuous fights with his mother he then began selling/doing drugs, and was homeless for about 2 years. His life was spiraling down wards at a rapid rate. Till one day he got his big break. Tupac always dreamt about being famous someday, now his dream was becoming a reality. He struck a recording deal with Interscope records. He was on his way to super stardom, but as we all know with fame comes problems. He was involved in the shooting of two off duty police officers, although the chargers were later dropped. He was also convicted of rape, and sentenced to 5 years in Clinton Correctional Facilities.
Biggie was murdered “[o]n March 9, 1997, Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G. was shot to death while sitting in a Chevy Suburban outside of a hip-hop industry party in Los Angeles”(Kenner). Upon completion of the report, it is clear that an examination of the unresolved murder is necessary. That was the thought process of any big fan of Tupac Shakur. Even though still to this day people do not know who killed Tupac, what we do know is that there was no evidence that pointed directly at one of Biggie’s hitmen.
On September 7, 1996, Tupac Amaru Shakur was riding in the passenger side of a black BMW driven by Marion Suge Knight, president of Death Row Records. Tupac and Suge had just finished watching Mike Tyson defeat Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tupac was standing up through the sunroof while the car was stopped at a traffic light. The Cadillac containing the gunmen passed an entourage of Tupac’s allies, many of them bodyguards. Four unidentified men pulled alongside Suge’s car, fired 13 rounds, and sped away. No one gives chase and there were no witnesses on the street. How come? Why not, especially after a heavyweight fight? Tupac was shot in multiple places including his pelvis, hand, and torso. Suge was grazed in the head w/ a slug of a bullet fragment. On Friday, September 13, 1996, he was reportedly pronounced dead at 4:03 p.m. at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas. But, did he really die? There are many suspicious details about his departure that contribute to this theory. It is supposed that Tupac is still alive b/c of things said before and after his death, actions done before and after his death, and other reports.
Tupac died on September 13th, 1996 due to gunshot wounds suffered in a Las Vegas drive-by shooting. Twelve shots were fired at the time but only four shots strucked Tupac. Doctors did emergency surgery which did save Tupac’s life that night and announced that his chances of recovery had improved but on September 13th died due to the fact of his wounds. Usually Tupac would always wear a bulletproof vest basically 24/7. But just for some odd reason he wasn’t wearing it when he got shot that day. The white Cadillac that was part of the drive-by was supposedly never found also. Wouldn’t you think he was alive too if you would have thought about it? Another theory is that Suge Knight, which is the person who was driving Tupac, killed
In 1995, Notorious B.I.G released the song “Who Shot Ya.” Tupac interpreted this as a mocking of the previous shooting. Tupac later retaliated with the song “Hit Em Up” where he claimed to have sex with B.IG’s wife. In “Hit Em Up,” Tupac directly calls out Notorious B.I.G for his song, “Who Shot Ya” and told him how his men couldn’t finish the job. He also goes on to say that he’s on a different level from B.I.G and that he shouldn’t be making threats because he rides with killers. (Daniel
Many people have this one thing they ALWAYS do, and Tupac’s was wear a bullet-proof vest. It is so ironic how the night he didn't wear one he ended up getting shot. Tupac was cremated the day after he died. Now who gets cremated the day after they die, no autopsy no nothing. They can’t did him up like they wanted to do with Elvis Presley or former President Abraham Lincoln. The Cadillac that the murderer was in was never found. If someone would have robbed a bank or casino in Las Vegas the police would've been all over the scene. In Atlanta, GA., if someone was shot the police would look for the gunman immediately. However the city that the shooting was in was only about eight blocks who could run away in a city of eight blocks that fast.
Tupac was at a Mike Tyson fight against Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand Hotel, in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 1996. After it was over, Tupac was in the car with Suge Knight when a white, four-door, Cadillac pulled up and two gunmen got out. They shot thirteen times; three of the shots hit Tupac and one hit Knight. Tupac died of internal bleeding six days later in critical care at the University Medical Centre. Six months later on March 9, 1997, Biggie was sitting in a Chevy Suburban outside after the Soul Train Music Awards when he was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, California. He died about an hour
Rap artist tell their life story through rap. Not only do they tell their story, but they also have a moral to their story. Tupac was one of the greatest rappers of all time. He was murdered at the age of 25. He is still, even in death, one of the most influential artists in the lives of urban people. Tupac told his life, from the beginning to the end, in his music. He was in a gang, he did drugs, and he was also known as a “thug.” If peop...
Viva Las Vegas: Most Unique City in America (Lights, Camera, & Casino Action!) Las Vegas is one of the interesting cities that I have ever visited in the entire world because it is a microcosm of the whole United States. One day, Steve’s friend, Tommy, came over to his house. After they played baseball for about an hour, they came inside to play with Steve’s toys. “ Do you want to play with my Hot Wheels car? It can go really fast!” Steve said.
Tupac Biography - "Tupac" Tupac went to prison in 1995 for a crime he committed in 1992.
“In 1991, Shakur emerged as a solo artist—using the name 2Pac—with his debut album 2Pacalypse Now. The track "Brenda's Got a Baby" reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart. His second album, Strictly 4 My N. I. G. G. A. Z., crossed over to the pop charts, with singles "I Get Around" and "Keep Ya Head Up." The album went platinum, selling more than a million copies.”-biography.com So he basically got famous with these tracks and acting in the movie “Juice”; which was one of the top movies back then. In his songs he basically talked about the things you didn’t want your children to hear. For example, he talked about his everyday struggles whether it was drugs, guns and violence. This then brought a major influence on the rivalry between the west and east coast rap/gang
Throughout his career, Tupac Shakur was accused of being many things. He was called a gangster, a thug, a criminal. The list goes on and on. However, those are not the words which describe the real Tupac Shakur. Despite what may be assumed of him, the real Tupac Shakur could be described as a philanthropist. A civil rights leader. A dedicated citizen who cared for his community and future generations more than he cared for himself. Although many don’t believe these descriptions to be accurate, a deeper look into some of his more meaningful songs reveals he should be seen as less of a thug, and more of an activist. Whether it’s in songs like ““Brenda’s Got a Baby” in which Tupac’s raps about a struggling African American teenager who accidentally
As the dark stadium filled with fire, with the sounds of guns and bombs exploding everywhere, the crazed fans yelled at the top of their lungs. The enormous stage was rumbling with the sound of a single guitar as the band slowly started their next encore performance. Soon after I realized that I was actually at the Sanitarium concert listening to Metallica play "One", I thought to my self, "Is this real, am I actually here right now?" I had a weird feeling the entire time because I had worked all summer to simply listen to music with a bunch of strangers.
