Recommended: Personality traits of introverts

This is me These personality traits, shy, a night owl, and picky describe who I am. Firstly I am shy, not very gregarious. For example I’m not a very social person. I dislike being in crowded places. I like and feel more comfortable being quiet. Sometimes I come off as rude because I don’t say “hi” or “how are you” to people. I feel uncomfortable talking to people especially if I don’t know them. Secondly I’m a night owl. For instance I enjoy staying up late until 3 a.m. it makes me happy. I love night life seems more fun and at peace. I live for going at night it gives me serenity. I do my shopping mostly in the nights because its less crowded and more exciting like an adventure.

    When a person's faith is also an alternative for their culture and morals, it proves challenging to take that sense of security in that faith away from them. In Night, Elie Wiesel, a Jewish student living in Sighet, Transylvania during the war of 1942, uses his studies in Talmud and the Kabbalah as not only a religious practice but a lifestyle. Elie and his fellow civilians are warned, however, by his Kabbalah teacher who says that during the war, German aggressors are aggregately imprisoning, deporting, and annihilating millions of Jews. When Elie and his family are victim of this aggression, Elie realizes how crucial his faith in God is if he is to survive the Holocaust. He vows after being separated from his mother and sisters that he will protect he and his father from death, even though as death nears, Elie gradually becomes closer to losing his faith. In the end, to Elie's devastation, Elie makes it out of the Holocaust alone after his father dies from the intense seclusion to malnutrition and deprivation. Elie survives the Holocaust through a battle of conscience--first by believing in God, then resisting his faith in God, and ultimately replacing his faith with obligation to his father.

    Personality is defined as the organized pattern of behavioral characteristics of the individual, according to www.dictionary.com. I recently took two different personality tests. I have to admit, I was very impressed with the results. The first test I took determined if I was Choleric, Sanguine, Phlegmatic, or Melancholy. I had ten descriptions for each category. I totaled seven in the D/Commanding Choleric section, four in the I/Cheerful Sanguine section, five in the S/Calm Phlegmatic section, and eight in the C/Clever Melancholy section. This means that I am primarily Melancholy and secondarily Choleric. My understanding of the word Melancholy is that I am sensitive and introverted, meaning that I would rather be to myself and I am not outgoing. This is exactly how I thought of myself. I feel like others cannot be trusted sometimes and other times I just feel like it is more stressful for me to talk to other people so I just keep things to myself most of the time. I also pay very close attention to details when I am doing any task. I am sort of a perfectionist. When things are not perfect of the way I want things it causes an issue for me. I am also goal-orientated. I set a goal for myself and I do not let anything come in the way of me accomplishing that goal. I may have some rough times trying to reach that goal but I always come out on top. Now my understanding of the word Choleric is that it is in some way the same as Melancholy but it still has its differences. Although I would possibly describe myself as a thinker, I would have a harder time describing myself as reflective because I prefer to live in the now and not reflect back onto my sad past. Balanced is a trait that I see in myself but I also me failing at being balanced always. I tend to balance time between friends poorly, however not by intention. Also, I need to work on balancing my time spent on projects and assignments in school. The traits on the list I relate to the least are principled, inquirer, and communicator.
