A hero is someone who has a positive impact on your life. Heroic attributes include loyalty, honesty, and strength of character. To me a hero would be someone that you can trust, someone you enjoy being around, and someone who is outgoing. A good example of a hero would be Emma Kinney, my mom. She is very understanding, forgiving and an amazing role model to my sisters and I. My mom is a very understanding person. She always tries to help others to best of her ability. Emma is very outgoing. She always finds the best in any situation that she is in. My mom raised three girls on her own. She was always patient with all of us. My mom understands that teenagers will be teenagers. She graduated from Alexander Central High School with honors in 1992 (Emma Kinney). She said that she “loved school” (Emma Kinney). During my moms senior year she held a full time job at Roses department store and went to school (Emma Kinney). Shortly after she graduated, at the age of 19 my mom got married to a guy named Randy and had my older sister, Amber (Emma Kinney). At this time my mom was the working at Ham’s in Hickory, NC. After being married for two years my mom and Randy got a divorce (Emma Kinney).
While working at Ham’s my mom met my dad, and they started dating. My mom and dad had three girls together, Amanda, Callie, and Madison (Emma Kinney). They then split up after being together for six years. My dad didn’t want to help my mom raise me and my sisters so she did it alone. To me, that makes my mom a very strong women. In 2007 my mom went back to college and got a degree in business management as well as in accounting (Emma Kinney). She graduated from college in 2009 (Emma Kinney).
