My first year at GRA was coincidentally this year making this my last. I may not have been here long but of course, compared to my old school and within the events of my 7th grade school year, this has evidently been the best and worst school year of my life. From Kindergarten all the way until 8th grade my elementary and middle school experience has been vice and unconscionable, to say the least, but of course, within all the faults and terror that was and unfortunately still is my middle school experience there still are quite a few things about this school and my old school that still positively resonate within me that keeps me moving forward and looking (almost) positively toward my artistic future.

Prompt: In 500 words or more, describe your collegiate experience thus far. How has this experience and the knowledge you've gained influenced what you plan to study? How have they influenced your decision to apply to St. Edward's?
Walking into Walnut Hills High School right now would have anyone thinking the just walked into the middle of a tornado. Everyone you look there are students running in and out of doors, in and out of cars, and most certainly either turning in missing assignments or retaking tests. There is only one way for you to explain all this ciaos, Senior Year, the year that all teens await with so much excitement and ambition and the year that every single hour long study dates pays off. For the class of 2021 this isn’t just their final year at Walnut Hills this is the year that friends separate and head off to their different university to follow their dreams.
Looking back on my three years at Twin Cities Academy, I find myself wondering how all these years came and went so fast. I still watch myself walking through the same halls and sitting in the same classrooms as I did back in 6th and 7th grade and I’ve seen myself grow so much, mentally, socially and physically. I still remember everything that has happened throughout my years, the best of times, and the worst.
During my years in high school, I have learned many valuable lessons. I’m proud of the person I am becoming. Life has not been easy, but thankfully I’m a strong hard worker. I started high school with a high GPA, and never intended for it to drop throughout my years. Within the last three years, I’ve moved around, participated in sports, and got a job.
I was told that this, my junior year, would be the easiest year of my high school career. And no, they were absolutely wrong. It was not just school and grades that I was concern about either. I had other things to worry about, things like, driving, clubs, friends and family. I however had no idea that it would be this difficult. Throughout this school year I have learned many things; like the value of sleep, whose really your friend, and that although very important, grades are not everything.
I am doing my externship at Abeltin & Migoya LLP. Currently, I am assisting the supervising attorneys with drafting and responding to discovery. The first goal I would like to accomplish during the externship is to develop client interviewing skills. The second goal is to develop and learn good lawyering skills. The third goal is to build more confidence in asking questions and approaching new projects. I discussed all three these goals with my supervising attorney on the first day of my externship.
One of the biggest lessons I've learned is to never give up and that everything in life happens for a reason. Throughout my entire life my dreams have been put down by society, wether it was a coach, friend, or family member. Everything I gain is because of me and only me. When I started my first year of high school, I knew I wasn't ready to maintain my academics, my social life, and my sports schedule all at once. I was completely intimidated by everything occurring in my life at the time.
“The future stretches before me, waiting for me to create the work of art that will become my life.” We have entered an age for celebration, an era to memorialize who we were, who we are and who we will eventually become. Celebrate this milestone greater than all the others, for it is the time we have spent here in our high school careers that will always be held close to heart.
If I could change one aspect of my first semester of high school, I would change that I should have studied more. I would change this because I was always rushing the night before to get all the extra information I could get about the topic.I always felt like I didn't know what I was talking about. What I could do is try studying sections of the test a night. I could also try to start studying for the test a week or a couple days in
Journal Entry #1: Today was my first day at Michigan State University after receiving a scholarship for basketball The program here is amazing, their campus is awesome. I can't wait to play my first game against the Michigan Wolverines. I have finished my first life goal of going to college. Now I have to be drafted into the NBA and have a family. Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

In this final year of high school, I have grown in a way that is hard to describe, but to put it simply, I finally feel like an adult. My background has gotten me where I am today; and I am proud and happy that it has led me to go into a career that I am passionate about. From the time I was 3 years old, I loved art.
...new classes, I soon realized what would be the biggest challenge of college: deciding on a major. Yes, I am one of those people who started college without first declaring a major. I soon heard every question, suggestion, and response regarding possible options. I even began concocting false majors to throw some people off. Large-Scale Demolition was a crowd favorite.
I can almost remember that day like it was yesterday, I awoke like on any other school day. It was a gorgeous May morning, the rays of sun flittered through my miniblinds blinding me as if I hadn’t seen light in days. I sluggishly dragged my limp body out of my warm bed, retiring to the bathroom to perform my normal morning rituals shower, shave, brush my teeth, get dressed, do my hair, and all the other regulars. As I looked at myself while combing my hair, it hit me like a speeding express train, I was about to graduate. I couldn’t help but smile, but at the same time I felt like a part of me was drifting away. A tear came to my eye as I realized what was about to happen to me.

Let me begin by saying that I am very honored to be addressing the County High School Class of 2012 as students of this institution for the last time. We've spent these last four years creating some serious memories: four years of chieftain power, leaking roofs, questionable Homecoming skits, and musical principals. Four years of good teachers, bad teachers, new teachers, old teachers. Four years of youth, music, growing up and breaking free. Four rubber chickens, four yearbooks, four ASB presidents and four chubby bunnies.
