I had prepared myself for forty weeks, but this impatient lady right here is forty weeks, six days, eight hours pregnant. I am practically going on, my tenth month of pregnancy. I thought I knew everything there was to know about pregnancy until last night when everything started to become a reality. I have no clue what to expect. Today is the day! Never in my life have I felt so many emotions happen all at once. Pacing the hallways, I have already peed four times in the last hour and still have thirty minutes before we all leave for the hospital so I can get induced. Watching the monitors like a hawk all night and routine checks I have been up the rest of the night. The nurses are having a shift change at seven this morning the nurse is a older lady that is very well educated about everything that went on throughout the night. She inserted an internal monitor and told me once I hit the twenty four hour mark with the amount of fluid loss and the baby 's heart rate they were going to need to prep me for a c-section if the baby didn’t come soon. As stubborn as it may be I will not have a c-section I didn’t read anything about those, nobody said a word to me about this before. I asked a lot of people about their pregnancy stories nothing like this happened. I was going on my twenty seventh hour of labor the nurse walked in with a mask and gloves on and said “ Now is the time it has to be done, we keeping losing the babies heart beat and this will not turn for the worst on my watch” She checked my dilation I was only nine centimeters.
