Later that night as i’m in my bed thinking about the girl in the woods and how she smells good and her laugh in + her beautiful looks I was starting to fall in love. But I knew we could never be together because she’s blue and i’m red and are kind don’t get along. It all started when there was a king and there was a queen the king was blue the queen were red they loved each other but one night the king’s brother killed the queen because he loved her but she didn’t feel the same way. everyone thought it was the king. and everyone agreed to not make contact with the others as they well call us we call them the ice nation. But now we can only love our own
In 1893, Simon Pokagon spoke at the Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition. He was a prominent tribal leader who was known for this speech. So much so, it was printed and turned into an informative pamphlet. The speech encompassed American history and it’s push Westward, detailing the destruction of the Native lands and culture forever. He begins by telling the crowd about how he cannot celebrate with them in this great big new city, because it reminds him of all that was lost. Pokagon states, “where stands this “Queen City of the West” once stood the red man’s wigwams;” (Page 32). A bold statement follows about how nature was plentiful, until pale face came with their
It has been too long since I last wrote to you, so I thought I would inform you on momentous events that happened in my life in the last little while. The previous time I heard from you was when Gabriel turned three. I can’t believe he is about to become a teenager now. My goodness, time flies by so fast. I was so ecstatic when I saw your prior letter arrive in my mail.
I also don't own the idea, it was requested to me by the wonderful Amanda. Thank you so much! I hope I did this idea justice.
In October 2012 President Obama was reelected as President of the United States of America. Famous for his exceptional speeches in his first term as president there was some pressure on Obama to deliver a notable acceptance speech after such a nail biting election. By using rhetorical strategies in his speech Obama had to reach every audience member whether they were democratic or republican. President Barack Obama grasps every member of his audience by using ethos pathos and even some logos in his 2012 acceptance speech, his very first speech in his second term as president.

Dr. King had been one of the greatest leading person during the 21st century. Fifty years later till this day, the message he has portrayed, is still being reviewed today. The ideas that King had brought along in his speeches would still be relevant to civil problems that are occurring in the United States currently. One of the most incredible moments in his life at the time was when he conveyed his tendency from human rights onto the stage of the world; educating the listeners, while obtaining the Nobel Peace Prize Award.
Life presents a wide array of obstacles as well as opportunities, and it is important to be prepared to take on whatever it is that life has to offer. In his Harvard Commencement Address, Will Ferrell reinforces this idea into the 2003 graduating class of the prestigious Harvard University as they prepare to move on to do greater things. His comedic approach is successful due to his ability to evoke feelings of laughter from his audience while also making them realize that they are entering a new stage of life. Although Ferrell is speaking directly to the class of 2003, anyone who listens to or who views his speech will experience humor in an otherwise serious event, and they will reflect on their own life or envision their future. Through
Hi Pamela, it is nice to meet you. I thank you for being so in-depthed about the knowledge that we just received about immigration. It is amazing to see other cultures come from one extreme form of lifestyle, then settle and make great contribution to this country. I was also intrigued about how Americans flew the Cubans in to be in partnership to help build this country, but on the other hand laws tried to hold them hostage from their families until they thought it was their duty to allow them to return to their country.
Rhetoric is a way with words which allows a writer or a speaker to persuade an audience to his or her view point. A recent topic in which many public figures and writers alike have come out to voice their opinions is, the Academy awards for the second year in a row having no people of color getting a nomination. This argument has people split between those who are outraged and those who honestly couldn’t care less.

For you girl you will be put in jail as well for bringing this peasant boy to my presents.” THe both were taken to the jail where they were put in shackles. The to were arguing with each other for a long time until they had a thought to think of a way out of the jail.
My thoughts on Chance The Rapper’s acceptance speech from the grammy awards is that I really did not enjoy how he just made up the speech in the pressure of the moment. This was his first award so he did not expect to win and one can see that he did not plan a speech or even thought about practice one. Chance The Rapper kept on saying um, and yeah since he did not know what to say. However, he kept on repeating the same phrases because he wanted everyone to know the reason as to why he believes he received the Grammy award. I feel as though he did not know his speech since he was all over the place. Chance The Rapper just kept referring to independence since he knows that is something that everyone likes to consider themselves as. During Chance
The book Charlie and the chocolate factory was written in 1964. The story is about a man named Willy Wonka who owns a world famous yet mysterious chocolate factory and a boy named Charlie Bucket who is a poor boy yet in the face of all the suffering he goes through he maintains the attitude of a good boy who puts others before himself. The book uses many narrative techniques such as setting, characterization, conflict and resolution and other techniques to present the themes of the book. I am Chris Atkins and I will be talking to you today about these themes and the how in the book they are shown using one or more of the techniques described above.
Throughout history there have been many great figures that populate the conscientiousness of humanity. The great philosophers of the past and the industrious thinkers of the present all of whom have had a great impact on the world and how people view it. Bill Gates would be considered one of the greatest minds of our times. Bill Gates is not only considered a technological entrepreneur but, one of the greatest contributors to global equality. In Bill Gates ' Harvard commencement address I believe the main idea is that as the younger generation that has more than any other generation should be giving more of themselves than any other generation, regardless of the gender, race, sexuality or anything else that makes those giving or receiving
