Introduction

Research Paradigms

Research paradigm is defined as the "organizing framework that contains a set of assumptions or values that underlie how scientists view reality, truth, and research." (Fain, J. A. , 2009). Paradigms are the "philosophical beliefs" which all researches are based on (LoBiondo-Wood, G. & Haber, J., 2006) .Nursing research can be classified into two main paradigms which are positivism and naturalism

-Positivism

Original positivism paradigm was established by great philosophers Newton , Comet, Lock, and Mill in the 19th century (Polit, D. F., & Beck, C. T. , 2012). Both observe realities and phenomenas ,trying to find out causative factors, but in postposotivism , researchers admit the impossibility of total objectivity by isolating it from all factors . instead, it makes it a goal of which they try to get as near as possible to it . Participants consent were taken prior from them prior to completing the questionnaire. They were given the choice to participate or refuse participating in this study Questionnaires were anonymous and participants were instructed not to write their names on it. Written participant information sheet presented along with the questionnaire explaining the purpose of the study and the rights of the participants. Consent form was separated from the questionnaire paper in order to protect participants confidentiality All records linking study participant ID numbers with identifying features were stored
