Why you should choose me for the National Junior Honor Society By: Christine Kuykendall I believe that I, Christine Kuykendall, am a good candidate for a spot in National Junior Honors Society. I hold all of the core values, I am an all A student, and I love helping in the community. I am also a very hard worker and I believe that I can do great things in National Junior Honors Society. I believe that the most important value out of the list of criteria is character. There are many reasons why I believe this to be true. The first one is that without a good character people are mean. I’m so happy to be given the opportunity to join National Junior Honor Society(NJHS). I would love to be a member. I think it is important for kids to be involved in the community. Also, myself personally it would be an honor to be a face for our school.
I am exceptionally grateful for this opportunity to possibly be a member of this very prestigious organization. Every day I work tremendously hard to be noticed by both other scholars and my teachers. Now that an opportunity has come, I am truly excited to demonstrate and live by the values of The National Junior Honors Society. I hope to further expose and show both my dedication and want to join arms with my community and my peers and I wish to continue to work with passion and fire to shape the world into a brighter place.
Receiving this invitation, I realize that the National Honor Society is an honor to be in itself. I believe that I am fully able to become a useful member of the National Honor Society due to the fact that I am hard working, reliable and honest, and I possess all the aspects required by this organization, such as scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. I was very excited when I heard that I had been invited into National Junior Honors Society. The first time I heard of NJHS, it instantly became a goal of mine. When my older sister left for college I was very sad, so I think that this is a way for me to keep a part of her. I have always been that little girl no one understood, because I’m always very excited to learn and get back to school after summer break. I’m very happy to see that I’ve been invited, but this is why I should be accepted.
To be in the National Junior Honor Society, one must have good citizenship and character. I seek to be a part of this society because it is a great honor and shows not only to others, but also to myself, how hard I have worked throughout my years at Northvale Public School. I take part in school activities and have helped my teachers, so
I am honored to be among the exemplary students who are being considered to be accepted to National Honor Society. I learned while researching National Honor Society that it calls upon students with outstanding academics and character. Throughout my life I believe I have demonstrated these qualities along with leadership from my participation in school, teams, and clubs.
Growing up, my parents and other influential figures around me modelled the importance of community service through their continual volunteer work and dedication to improving the world around them. Whether it be participation in a well-attended project or persistent contribution to a helpful organization, those aforementioned individuals were formative in guiding me towards a path filled with opportunities for having an impact on my community.
Being nominated for National Junior Honor Society is a highly prestigious honor, and I am very grateful to be a candidate. To be a member of this prestigious organization means so much to me just to be invited to be one of its members. Leadership is a great skill to have. So, by being a member of this group I would be showing leadership. I am also a hard worker and a great role model who always helps others. I am confident in my leadership qualities and want to help the community. I plan to demonstrate leadership, create enthusiasm, and develop character for academic excellence while participating in NJHS. Whenever I set a goal, I am certain to achieve it. With my outstanding personality and traits, I plan to be useful to NJHS and my school.
Community service is a voluntary, unpaid act of kindness that an individual perform to benefit and help others who are in need. It is important for individuals to do community services. It is not only about helping the community but, also making a difference in someone’s life. It can help a person grow and build connections mentally, physically, and emotionally. Mentally, a person who does community service is able to change their perspective of the world and appreciate the things they have. Physically, it can help a person be more motivated and explore what is going on in their community. Emotionally, it can help a person feel kindness therefore, it can also help an individual interact with others, build a relationship, and further their communication. Participating in community service can help a person become more active and involved in their community, it can also build your work related skills and make you gain experience to network with future employers and companies. Being involved in the Charity Club at my school has enabled me to do my share regarding community service. In the Charity Club we organize meetings where we come up with different projects , and then we find ways to collect money and clothes for families in need.Just recently we did this project called MAAT, and the purpose of this project was to help the poor families in Pristina and grow the sense of humanism and volunteerism among the youth. During New Year’s day along side Red Cross we shipped food and clothes for families in the region. It was honestly the best feeling ever, seeing the smiles in their faces when they saw the presents we had for them, was priceless.
The hours I completed serving my community were ones well-spent. It was extremely satisfying to perform good deeds that help our neighborhood thrive. These duties gave me insight on what community service really is. Community service allows you to provide aid and nurture your neighborhood and community. From picking up trash on trails to reading to children with disabilities, I was able to execute a variety of different service-learning projects.

These experiences have afforded me opportunities to demonstrate my gifts and talents that had previously gone undiscovered. Through different community service opportunities, I either learned something new about myself or I was reassured something. These qualities include that I am creative, reliable, open-minded, passionate, and an effective team player. Community service changed my life by developing my character through enhancing my transferable skills, which allowed me to see the world differently. Everyone, from all walks of life, needs to in some way, shape, or form give back to the community because it will not only benefit the less fortunate but it will benefit the volunteers as well. Additionally, I learned about the wide variety of resources available to help the community. There are so many resources out there that people are ignorant to like certain shelters and food banks. Community service is an invaluable experience that everybody should have. Through community service you can help yourself by helping others. You learn your strengths and weaknesses, on top of everything you learn about others and the world. Through my sixty hours of service with Colleges Against Cancer, I have learned a lot.
