My Interest In Makeup

I do not do my makeup because I feel as if I need to; I do makeup because I love to do it. I love to watch other people express themselves through their makeup. Makeup is such a powerful thing, it can cover up scars, acne, tattoos, etc. In reality, makeup can make someone look like a whole different person. My interest in makeup makes me want to be a better artist and person to show others just how powerful makeup is.

I could spend hours doing my own makeup. One of my favorite things happens to be when I walk into Sephora or Ulta and shop. I love how each makeup store is set up in such a way by brand or category. For example, walking into Ulta the expensive brands are usually on the right and the drugstore brands are on the left. Walking through the aisles is like a new experience each time because there are always new products on the shelves or sales going on. Getting to be myself and try out new looks is so much fun; especially when they look good. When I have multiple foundations, eyeshadow palettes, brushes, eyelashes, etc. it is so much fun when I get to choose every single little detail out about how my face is going to look. One morning I may want a dewy-looking foundation, with sharp dark eyebrows, black eyeliner, and dramatic eyelashes. Whereas a few days later I could want a matte foundation, with a subtle contour, eyebrows, and a little mascara.

My dream would to work in the skincare and makeup area of services. Makeup has shown me that I want to help others be comfortable in their own skin; whether it be through makeup or clear skin. I believe being a Dermatologist would help me not only financially but also spiritually; I would help people prosper in their skin clearing journey. On the opposite end, I would love to be a makeup artist, to show my clients that makeup is to help enhance their
