My DBA Goals

Although, my goals listed below have not changed since the beginning of this course, I have gained more insight regarding the benefits of a DBA degree and insight on the processes involved in getting the degree. One of the benefits of the degree is acquiring skills and knowledge to assist business using research skills, analytical skills, and solution creation skills to keep businesses excelling in their industry.

• Goal 1 Statement My goal is to obtain a Doctorate of Business Administration degree within the next forty-eight months or by August 2020 for the purpose of being equipped to assist business industries to solve their labor problems through applying research on training and sustaining a steady supply of a labor force.

“Some hours of the day must be used to carry out activities for sustenance and sleep, whereas other activities, such as paid work, are required by society. Some activities are directed by the desires and wishes of the individual alone and others by the social norms and values of his or her social context. The time used for activities is subject to constraints and requires that the individual prioritize activities, “ (Hellgren, 2014). Finally, I reserve Saturdays and Sunday afternoons for projects that require extra attention and for make-up days. Carving out time and adhering to a daily study routine regardless of the assignment works well for me. I then watch World News and retire for bed. Kayaalp explains, “consideration of individual characteristics in terms of time orientation is critical, “ (Kayaalp, 2014). I believe that on the surface tip number one which is to assess one’s current practices against one’s goals seems easy, but it is not, simply because if one has not reached one’s goal then how can one assess what is working accurately? The next tip, number 2 is to set up a workspace and to identifying one’s work preference will prevent the loss of time when this information is crucial. For example, I anticipate during my quantitative courses I will need abandoned my preference of working alone and work with a group. While determining energy sources which is tip 3 is wise advice, it may be difficult to accomplish, because of external obligations such as jobs, families and health
