My Academic and Career mission statement (77) has been expanded to include my “Self-Concept” (69) and to see the acquisition of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications with a minor in Creative Writing and Digital Media and Video Production as tools to empower and ensure that I am fully accountable and self-realized as an artist, writer, and independent, creative innovator using a wide variety of mediums as forms of self-expression and community engagement, education and evolution. Fully engaging in the art and academic community will allow me to grow as an artist, fulfill my life purpose and contribute to society on greater levels. These various areas are used as foundational elements like the framework to architecture, where I can take these more existential mission statements (values) to build brick and mortar short-term and long-term goals toward “Self-Actualization.” (79) Some ways, Self-Concept is more fully explored with the ideation of Self-Actualization is through the ‘right use of gifts and talents’, self-identification explored through the lens of career potentiality and wealth building through synergistic relationships with community partnerships providing reciprocal gain and mutual benefit. For example, affirming that my career is my gifts and talents is an all-encompassing transformation of inner beliefs about self, social responsibilities, and commitments to self. It ties into career identification and career potentiality. Furthermore, allowing myself to use my gifts and talents as a means of self-actualization and personal fulfillment. The ability to say, “I am a Writer, Artist, Entrepreneur” and have the body of work or product to prove or show for my affirmations (statements) and to establish a personal habit of self-discipline in the form of my “Self-Actualized” identity is an
