I have a lot of people that make my life a billion times better. Those people are my friends, family, and God. An event that has made my life better is Miracle camp. I went to Miracle camp the summer of 2015. I went with Delaney, Brielle, and Kylie. I was so excited to go and it was such an eye opening experiencing. To tell the truth I haven’t always been close to God and read my bible a lot. When I went to Miracle Camp I felt like I had opened a door. Miracle camp made me want to learn more about God. Miracle Camp also made me grow my relationship with him and I can’t thank that camp enough. That camp really made me see what I need to be focusing on which is God. I was disappointed last year when I couldn’t go, but this year I am going!! I can’t wait to go back there reconnect with God. Miracle camp and my friends and family and God are thing that make/made my life a better life. Who I look to for hope is the same people. Friends, Family, and God. My friends …show more content…
Two things I am passionate about is art and sports. I have been doing different sports my whole life. I have done Soccer, T-Ball, XC, Track, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, and I even tried Golf. I only stayed with some of the sports like basketball and volleyball. XC and track our new to me this year and so far I love them. I love the competitiveness about sports and the satisfaction of winning. I have played basketball basically my whole life, and it's my favorite sport. I remember playing in 3rd and 4th in an inhouse league and I thought it was so fun. Now I get to play for the school and it's amazing. I had a extremely good season this year in volleyball and a good one is basketball. In basketball we only lost 4 times, but lost in Regionals to Germantown (who later became State Champs). In volleyball we had one loss in the Eureka invitational( I know for a fact we could've won). Then we won Regionals, Sectionals and then STATE!! So volleyball went pretty
One extracurricular activity that I am very passionate about would be the FFA. FFA has taught me so many things and it has brought me so many places. I 've learned how to be a great speaker from different events my advisor has challenged me to do. Public speaking has taken me so many places and I have attributed most of my success to FFA. When I was a freshmen I competed and received gold in the creed speaking competition. As a sophomore, I tried extemporaneous speaking and received a gold for that as well. As a junior I really wanted to challenge myself so I took up agricultural sales as my winter career development experience. I ended up being recognized as the state runner up individual agriculture salesman as well as the 15th best agricultural sales man in the nation. Now as a senior, I have been going around speaking at different school board meetings, advocating
We can gain hope in the verse “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” Psalms 40:29. Another verse that can encourage us is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Even though we may feel quite little and powerless, all we must do is ask Christ for help and we will be able to “do all things through Christ”. This includes overcoming sin that we as humans don’t have the power to overcome by ourselves. I don’t know about you, but this makes me extremely thankful for our God who cares for us and is willing to use His strength to save
A volleyball player cannot jump higher from not playing in a week. A student cannot become smarter without going to school everyday and listening to their teachers. When you are dedicated, you want it. I am dedicated to my education, that being the case, I participate in a great deal of school clubs and activities. I was on the AMS Battle of The Books team, which had won the county competition and continued to Regionals. Since sixth grade, I have been included in Honor Society and have maintained high honor roll for three years. Currently, I am the vice president of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). Athletic wise, I was on the volleyball team for both seventh and eighth grade. Education is not all about fun and games, there is hard work and strong commitment involved. I want to be surrounded by a group of students who are just as serious about their education as I am. Social Studies and math are two of my favorite subjects. Which are also two subject I excel
Another thing is my passion for cheerleading. I love to cheer and ive been doing it since i was 9, i wouldn't want to trade that for the world. I’ve always been the kid to try everything and when i found cheerleading i was inspired and encouraged to keep going and pursuit it. I am very eager to try and become a highschool cheerleader. I also love to volunteer in other things to help keep me busy. I also know it is important for me to join clubs for my future and colleges. I am also very interested into Young Life and helping with Wyld Life for a middle
As a student in the classroom, I have consistently challenged myself with honors and AP classes. Some of these include various honors and AP Sciences, History, and English. Throughout my four years, I have stayed active in school by being a part of the baseball and the robotics program. I have also dabbled in the environmental club as well as best buddies. I had the opportunity to manage the varsity baseball team my junior year. During the course of my junior year as well, I was blessed with the privilege of being a member of the Mountain Pointe Robotics team, Pridetronics, and their drive team. During the season, we won both our regional and state competitions and was able to travel to St.Louis, Missouri as a part of the FRC national
I have a very active lifestyle resulting in a wide variety of interests outside of the classroom. I have always had a deep life-long passion for sports. I represented my high schools varsity volleyball and basketball teams as well as partaking in an adult slow-pitch softball league throughout high school and into college. Other sports and activities I enjoy include Tae-kwon-do, soccer, fast-pitch softball, tennis, callisthenic and weighted workouts, running, hiking and biking.
I have participated in many sports throughout the years including tennis, basketball, dance and track. I have a love for photography and really anything crafty. Anything outdoors is calling my name, especially when the autumn season comes around. To keep me busy in the summers I have obtained countless babysitting jobs and have also had the opportunity to work with a local daycare back in my hometown where we would take trips to the park and pool, have lemonade stands, and play with finger-paints to name some of the many things we did to keep
...e not so much, but I can honestly say that I’m glad that I could overcome all of the troubles I endured these past few years. I’m grateful that I had the help of so many people to actually stay strong in everything I have been through. My grandmother having dementia, losing a childhood home, connecting with an absent father and overcoming mental illness have all made in huge impact in my life.
Not only do I adore reading, but also I am also passionate about playing sports, and also love to express myself through my art. Recently, I started to play lacrosse and immediately fell in love with the game. Lacrosse became my everything and I spent my days begging my dad to throw the ball for “just five minutes”. I am planning on trying out for the Woodson team in Spring, and track and field in the Winter. Because of lacrosse, I learned that I love running as well. I am currently on the Woodson Cross country team and am having the time of my life. Along with playing sports, My free time is spent outside, painting whatever comes to mind. It is comforting and my stress just seems to melt away whenever my brush is in motion. Though I have
The evaluation of the results allowed for necessary changes to the curricula of the program, as well as changes to data collection. Some of the strengths of the data collection process were being able to assign a point system to the surveys which made it easier when trying to get an average satisfaction score for the camp participants. The thoroughness of the initial camp survey was another strong point in the data collection process. This initial survey helped the health mentors at Camp Wellness to better understand the current mental and physical state of the camp participants. Questions in this initial survey covered topics such as daily consumption of fruits and vegetables, tobacco use, exercise and eating habits, and other lifestyle habits.
experiences that have changed my life in one way or another and I'm sure that
What does an inspirational teacher look like? An inspirational teacher looks like Annie from “The Miracle Worker”. A inspirational teacher believes in his/her students.
My brother Jared has been an important aspect of my life since I was born. Jared has a disease called Crohns and since we found out he had this disease it has been hard for me to understand why he has this disease and why God allowed him to have this disease. But through it all, it grew me closer to God. And my brother, who was the one who was dealing with the hardest thing, was an example to me and taught me how to live my life for Christ.
According to an expert, “ A lot of parents pack up their troubles and send them off to summer camp.” Maybe that is what my parents were thinking? I was at Miracle Camp in Lawton, Michigan in June of 2015. Miracle Camp in a Christian camp for anyone who wants to deepen their love and understanding of the Lord. You can accomplish all of this while having the most fun you have ever had! I went with a few of my really close friends so I got to grow closer to the Lord with some friends.
Many years ago when I was a freshman in high school, an event happened to me that changed my life for the better. My friend invited me to go hiking with him and his sister. He was going to go hiking in Yosemite. The following day I prepared myself mentally and physically in order to accomplish this hike.
