World Changers Organized, adaptive, and conscientious are the words that describe the people known as “teen activists.” Every once and awhile one may see or hear of a new law set up to make a difference in the world. That might have been the work of a teen activist. These activists all have one thing in common, and it is also what drives them: A need to do what is right. Some people do not have what it takes to make a significant change in the world but these “activists” have given enormous amounts of their life to change something for the good of Earth. Malala lived in northwestern Pakistani village known as Mingora. There, she attended school and lived a normal life until the Taliban terrorist organization took over Malala’s village and then shutting down her school. The reason why the terrorists shut down Malala’s school was because they follow a very strict belief of Islam, thus the Taliban think that woman should not go to school and are better suited staying at home, cooking meals, and doing chores. Malala had other ideas, so she went on multiple social media websites and blogged against the Taliban. Malala eventually was able to go back to school, but her blogging made her a target for the Taliban. One day while Malala was riding home from school, a terrorist gunman entered her vehicle and shot her in the head. But Malala survived, and according to the Time for Kids magazine she became a “symbol of the struggle for girl’s rights all over the world.” The word that could really describe Malala is conscientious as the definition for conscientious is to know and do what is right. That is exactly what Malala did as after she was shot, she went around the world and gave speeches against the Taliban, also recognizing the fight for an education around the
