“One child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world.” This quote was by Malala Yousafzai who is a teen activist from Pakistani. A teen activist is a teenager that sees the need for change so they speak out to the world with a passion. Malala and many other teens around the world are making a lasting impression on the world by starting organizations, raising money and mostly by inspiring others. Teen activists make a lasting impression on the world by starting organizations. One teen activist that does so is Emily-Anne Rigal, she has a facebook page to help people with bullying around the world. What a thoughtful girl Emily is! Emily has a “contact” button so that if you need help you fill out the information and she will get back to you! Another teen activist with an organization is Faye Carey, she also has a facebook page. Faye Carey started her organization (facebook) called Animal Re-home Waikato, when she was trying to re-home a litter of kittens. Aren't Emily and Faye just so wonderful people! Teen activists like, Alex Lin inspired others to recycle electronics instead of throwing them away and stop electronic waste dumping. Craig Kielburger got inspired by a teen activist who died and gotten wrote about in the newspaper, his name was Iqbal, Iqbal got sold to a carpet making shop for for very little money to pay for his brother’s wedding when he was 4. That is so sad!! Giving a young boy who had no idea what was going on for little money for a wedding but, the good news is after many escapes he finally got out when he was 12! He then left and no one knows what happened to him, people think the carpet men shot him in a yard but i guess know one knows.
