In the beginning of the summer, the pony would not move at all or go really slow when asking him to run the barrel pattern. After many attempts of trying to get the pony to walk with me on top of him, he finally started to get more confidence and knew that I would not let him run into anything while on him. During training, the pony knew the arena well enough so he would not bump into anything. After building up speed and getting better times, I thought that we were back in barrel racing. I entered the pony and I in the minnesota rodeo.
... person and we choose our own destiny, we can't sit around and blame anyone if we feel depressed or if our lives seem a mess. We need to be strong and follow our dreams, quit acting stupid and change our behaviors by taking leaps and risks. It may be hard and scary at times but that's all part of life and we have to work for what we want. Dr. Laura Schlessinger states, "Once we muster the courage to take responsibility for our own problems and to tolerate the discomforts of risk, the possibilities for personal growth and joy are limitless (223).If you are prepared to hear the truth of how we let certain behaviors ruin our life and ready to make changes to them, than a good place for you to start would be by reading this book.
The quote,”Some horses buck you off. Some horses spook you off—they see something scary and drop a shoulder and spin and run away. Some horses stop all of a sudden, and there you are, head over heels and sitting on the ground.” shows how this girl really doesn't like some horses as they don't ride nicely. This develops the characters for the horses as now the reader perceives these horses as bad, since they were so badly conceived by her. If this was in the horse's point of view, they may say that she is the problem and it would develop the girl as the problem character. In the quote,” I had one a year ago, a sweet boy mare...I rode her every day, and she never put a foot wrong. Her lope was as easy as flying. One of the days she was with us, I had a twenty-four-hour virus, so when I went out to ride, I tacked her up and took her down to the creek at the bottom of the pasture, out of sight of the house...I lay down in the grass and fell asleep. I knew she would graze, and she did for a while, I suppose. But when I woke up (and feeling much better, thank you), there she was, curled up next to me like a dog, kind of pressed against me but sweet and large and soft.”, the reader can really see how much she loves this particular horse. This horse is developed as a very nice and calm character from the way she describes him. If this was written in the point of
“Responsibility to yourself means refusing to let others do your thinking, talking and naming for you; it means learning to respect and use your own brains and instincts; hence, grappling with hard work.” - Adrienne Rich.
For my self-assessment, I chose to discuss the Middle Childhood, Adolescence, and Young Adulthood life stages. The theories of human behavior that will be discussed are Erikson’s Psychosocial theory, Kohlberg’s theory of moral reasoning, and Albert Bandura’s social learning theory. I chose these life stages because they are the stages where I have experienced many events that have shaped me into the person I am today. There are a number of factors that have played a role in my development over a period of time and I will discuss them throughout my paper.

Finally, I believe a character must be responsible. Responsibility comes with experience, and is something a person has, or they do not have. I am responsible by maintaining a grade point average greater than three point eight five while participating actively in numerous extra curricular activities and working more than a twenty-five hour workweek. With great power, comes responsibility in which I will always have.

Thus, there is consequences to every choice, but they can teach us important life
Everyone, at some point in their life, has made a mistake. Sometimes we get lucky and only falter a little, making it through the problem relatively intact. Other times, we mess up a lot and have to fix what was damaged over a long period of time. However, the same is true for most, if not all cases—those who make the mistake learn from it. Often times, our failures teach us valuable lessons that we only gained because of the experience we gathered after messing up. I have personally achieved a wealth of knowledge and experience just from all of my own little mishaps, and a few major ones.

I have asked my grandparent: “why are you take care of me for my parents”? My grandma answers me: “it is my responsibility”. During my childhood, I had been living with my grandparent, and I was really happy. However, the most important thing I learn from my grandparents, which is responsibility. The concept of responsibility is more than just being accountable for your mistakes; it involves being accountable for your actions, both to yourself and to others.
