The Civil Rights Era was a very dark and depressing time for the people in America. There were many very empowering events, one being Little Rock Nine. Little Rock Nine was a group of nine African American kids that went to an all-white school. Little Rock Nine are great examples of the Civil Rights Era because of the struggles they went through, how they tackled the hate, and how they affected our lives today. Since Little Rock Nine were the only African American in an all-white school they got a lot of hate. The first day of school for them was very difficult because there were so many people getting mad at them. Most of the people getting mad at them were the parents because they didn’t want African Americans to go to their kid’s school.
