ow this is amazing I have never been behind the scenes of a Carnival look at all these animals. Oh no what was that sound that I just heard it sounded like a horse, oh no it actually was a horse and now it's chasing me and it's fast, this is awful. My last resort is going into this cage. Thank gosh I got into this ca-, oh no this isn’t good there is a lion in this cage with me, its gonna eat me, i'm done for. This is awful I will never be able to see the carnival or even my family again. Wait, there is a compartment over there, maybe if I open it I can sneak out quietly, hopefully there is nothing behind it there probably is, this is not good. OH MY GOSH, there is a Tiger, I knew that was a bad idea, thank gosh I shut the compartment on time. …show more content…
Nope that doesn't work, this is just awful I am so worried that I might be stuck in this cage till’ ‘i'm dead. Another idea, maybe I can try to call someone to try to get their attention with my handkerchief. Uh oh, a barking Dog is running over, it’s gonna wake the lion up this was an awful plan, i'm so worried. A person, maybe they can help me, OH NO SHE JUST FAINTED, HOW AM I EVER GONNA GET OUT? Just then the Lion wakes up out of the blue, why this he was already in here sleeping but now awake, I have no chance of surviving. The lion walks up to me and is staring at me, he is gonna eat me! The lion is walking away back to where he was he is probably planning how he is gonna eat me, oh my gosh the lady who fainted just woke up, she's coming to open the door. Just as she opens the door I blast out a sprint as fast as I can away scared the Lion is gonna chase me, and I know who's gonna win that race and it’s not gonna be me. I must climb this pole so the Lion can’t catch me, wait what if Lions can climb too, oh no this is

Patrick Lewis, the protagonist in the story, In The Skin Of A Lion, goes through an internal change in his beliefs and in his personality; these changes can be noticed throughout the novel. Patrick goes through relationships throughout his life that end up manipulating his view of other’s actions. These key personality changes can be found in the relationships that Patrick had with Clara Dickens, as well as his relationship with Alice Gull. Michael Ondaatje, the author, clearly shows the mental change that Mr. Lewis endured, by showing his compassion and caring with Ms. Dickens; then his attitude changed once Alice influenced him. Nearing the end of the story the change becomes obvious, with his need for revenge, and the interpretation of his attitude with his final actions in the novel.
Oh dear! I can't believe what I just did, it was so hilarious, I hope
When studying a novel it sometimes helps to look at the language used in a specific passage. In the novel In The Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje, this approach is extremely helpful. It will help you better understand the characters and give you a clearer idea of what the author is trying to say. Within the novel, the passage entitled “The Skating Scene,'; where Patrick observes the loggers skating late at night, is stylistically interesting. By looking at metaphors, symbolism and diction, we can gain a better understanding of the characters and make connections within the scene and then to the novel as a whole.
Hi my name ’s Pete, I’m a goldfish the other animals make fun of me but I only have a small memory and My owners are two kids, but they are always fighting. Like right now Luke is pestering Amy, again, uh oh I think it’s getting serious, Luke has her book and is bolting right at me.
The sun lingers brightly on a summer morning. A small seven year old girl stands and loiters by the window, eagerly waiting, as the television mumbles the morning weather is recited by the meteorologist. “Later today, we will experience quite a bit fogginess ...” The man informs with a deep defined voice. She presses her round nose on the glass window and scans through the view of their front yard.
I could start off my story by telling you why Byblos, Lebanon is so important to me. But before that, I want you to know why it is such a memorable place. First of all, the place is pretty goddamn beautiful. I’d be lying if I told you that it's possible to get bored in that huge bastard. The people themselves are a bunch of happy and energetic souls.
The entire lot is packed to the brim and the streets lined with cars. All of the giant machines are glistening in the distance. Gaining ground brings the echoing of earsplitting, fear induced screams to the ear. As the entrance becomes visible a particular smell arises, that brings back wonderful memories. The carnival is always engulfed in the wonderful aroma of sizzling deep fried batter sprinkled with a sweet, snow like versions of sugar. Once a whiff of the succulent concoction known as a funnel cake has been inhaled the visibility of excitement begins to pour out and aura of anticipation start to become heavy. Walking through the gates into lights that begin to blind but they do so elegantly with a sparkling of all colors of the rainbow. After the eyes adjust it is time for a plan to be made. The questions that need to be addressed are: Where to go first? What to ride? So many choices make it insanely hard to decide so a gut decision is the only
What good news I have to tell you. The best of times is to come! Banquo and I crossed paths with three vaguely human looking creatures who were dressed in long and loose black robes. Their faces only had few distinct human qualities. These three women, with their hunched backs and unsettling aura had wondrous things to say, despite their hideous appearance.
This tourist spot gives popular a whole new meaning; it is the annual home of some 6.5 million people, and what’s more, these people actually go there to have fun! Truthfully, I, being hopefully not the only person who has a fear of any type of rollercoaster, didn’t really go and expect to have fun. Forgive me if I am offensive, but I find the place dirty and shabby to say the least or may be this is a biased view as I’m not a lover of fast rides, seagulls and almost derelict hotels. Now I’m not the kind of girl who loves her appearance so much, she jus must never be seen in a place like Blackpool, that would be self obsessed, nevertheless, I fail to see the excitement in staying in an apartment where spiders inhabit the cracks in the walls; Where ice cold draughts breeze in through the singular window in...
School was coming to an end and I thought about how Scout’s teacher didn't want her to read. I couldn't stop reading I enjoyed it too much and so did scout, I wondered if I would have reacted the same way scout did. One day after coming home from school, I saw scout with a Big stash of gum. After she told me how she got it, I started thinking the worst since I am her older Brother. I knew to scout was stubborn and wasn't going to get rid of it so I threaten her by telling her that I would tell Cal which is a fight scout wasn't up to fight. Why would there be gum in a tree and why was it out of all places in the Radley tree? We waited until what was forever for school to be over and for Dill to come. After all Dill had become a close friend
Never ending queues weaved and meandered through the swarm of people away from the attractions in a random route. People, families, boyfriends and girlfriends stand idle and lethargic, waiting in line patiently for the hurricanes of fear and enjoyment to ride upon them, listening to the squeals of both horror and excitement increasing in volume as the ride turns and twists, goes round the loop-de-loop and curves in every direction.
OH! Here's a bright idea! Instead of taking my pet to a shelter, I’ll just dump him off on the side of the road! Good luck surviving with no food or water! I'm just leaving you to die!
I looked at Sophie and she looked at me and we turned around to see the crowd cheering us on. I went to push on the door to open and it opened by itself before I could get my hands on it. “Here we go” I said as I took a step into the house. The door slammed behind us. No lights, but perfectly clean and furnished furniture. Each room looked like it was from a different time in history. CLANK! There was a noise in the background. Next thing we know we have been grabbed but we can’t see anyone. “AHHHHHH!” we both screamed. We were drug to the top floor and hung over the balcony and if you looked down you saw the lions roaring getting ready to be fed. I had realized that those were the same lions from outside. We were suddenly yanked back onto the balcony overhanging all the floors when there was a loud clank. I looked at Sophie and said, “The ghost must be afraid of something in the house, but what?” We heard a bark and it sounded like a dog! At least there was some kind of life in the house. We ran to where we heard the bark. It was a small dog, mut I guess you could say. I got down to pet it and said don’t worry we’ll save you. I heard a mumble and looked at Sophie and said, “what?” She said, “I didn’t say anything.” There it was again and it sounded like someone saying, save me-or else, and as I ran my hand down the dog I felt something hard. It was a ZIPPER I looked at Sophie and said, “I have to.” Then I slowly unzipped the zipper. And I saw a monstrosity, a small scrawny girl jumped out of the dog carcass and grabbed us by the necks. About to be strangled, we were grabbed by a stranger that snatched the dog/girl up and threw her across the room. “I’ll save you!” he said, but he sounded paranormal. We weren't going to the door! And then I smelled dog carcass on him. “NOOOOO” I screamed “I don’t want to be a creepy dog.” We were snatched from his
25 minutes later Zach and I are completely zombified and walking through town. Suddenly two people come out from behind a sign and shoot us both in the head. Just then I wake up in a cold sweat, sit up, and turn to look at the clock. “Its 2:07am, I should probably try to sleep again.” I whispered to my kitten. As I lay back down I begin to hesitate, fearing I’ll dream that again. “I’ll try anyway.” I whispered again, and eventually fell back to sleep.
