Animal Abandonment
Animal abandonment. The word makes me sick. The whole IDEA of animal abandonment sickens me. Basically, you decide, Oh, I don’t want this dumb pet anymore. OH! Here's a bright idea! Instead of taking my pet to a shelter, I’ll just dump him off on the side of the road! Good luck surviving with no food or water! I'm just leaving you to die! GREAT IDEA!!!!! What these people don’t realize is that they are leading a lamb to slaughter. Leaving an animal with no food, water, and without shelter, they will not make it for very long. The government laws on this unspeakable horrific act are MUCH too lenient. In fact, sometimes animal abuse is even ENCOURAGED!!!! There are many types of animal abuse, and most cases of these categories are not even against the LAW! One type of abominable torture is fur farming. Fur farming is practiced in China. Fur farming is the worst type of torture an animal can receive. To start this process, “...The animals, including cats and dogs, are caught in traps set in the wild, taken from the streets, or suffer miserable lives on a fur farm. “ Next, “They are packed tightly into small cages, hardly able to move. They are then tossed with no care from the trucks onto the ground. This causes injuries and great pain. They are given no treatment, just left to suffer.” “The animal is brutally pulled out of the cage, then tied to prevent resistance. The animal receives a blow to the head. However,it is made sure that it is still alive and fully conscious, as it is believed that it is easier to skin the animal while it is alive.” Let’s just stop right there. SKINNED ALIVE?! This already sounds like some sort of twisted “Jigsaw” trap. To begin the skinning, “If the animal is not too heavy, the worker instead holds it by its hind legs, lifts it in the air and slams its body against the ground. This gives a blow to the head but also shatters other bones, causing agony.” “Once the animal is in too much pain to move and fight back, the worker cuts in to the animal’s rear, then tears the skin away from the body.” “The worker purposely keeps the animal alive during the skinning process, as it is believed that it is easier to skin the animal while it is still warm and blood flows through its veins.” Another form of animal
