It was founded in 1847 by slaves after they were let free and africa gave them some of their land and they named Liberia after the name liberty which indicated freedom, Liberia has been around for more than 171 years, Liberia is the only country in Africa with native Africans that is founded by the people of United States, The capital city of Liberia is Monrovia,
Monrovia is also the largest city in Liberia, 4.1 million people live in Liberia, The country has 43,000 square miles of land, It is bordered by Sierra Leone to the northwest, Guinea to the north, Ivory Coast to the east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south and west.
The official language is English, As of January 1 2017 the population of Liberia was estimated to be 4,682,395 people.
