Families are at odds trying to decide where to spend their those precious but scarce vacation days. While they search for a place to visit, most tend to overlook the beautiful island of Jamaica, also known as ‘The land of Wood and Water’ as it is seen as a small dot on the map.This small dot is covered with breathtaking and relaxing scenery, warm welcomes, and so much fun and excitement that may be overwhelming for any one family. There are so many things one can experience on this small island, one can only imagine what’s in store. While it is true that Jamaica is a small country, the island holds some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. The residents were raised in a society that teaches the importance family and that there are no limits to whom one considers family. Songs like Bob Marley’s ‘One Love’ and his son Ziggy's ‘Family Time’ gives an insight into this philosophy that so many Jamaicans have practiced over the years. If someone is feeling down, Jamaicans will give an arm and a leg to brighten their day. Even if one feels like they can't run life's rigorous obstacle course any longer, Jamaicans will pick you up and carry you to the finish line if need be. The cuisine is a perfect example of how family oriented Jamaicans can be. The food is made with genuine amiability and care as they take careful measures to create something that each person will come to love with the first bite .This boon is one of the many that they take pride in, as everyone deserves a family, whether or not they're related by blood, and just by visiting Jamaica will one be considered family as there will always be one here when visitors come
