The Importance of Art to Society and its Achievements Art has conquered the imaginative aspects of human culture for centuries. It’s a form of expression that has always come as a natural appeal to the human mind whether through music, painting, books, or maybe body art. Humans have always had the drive to either create, or at least experience a creation. Oscar Wilde, a renowned Irish author, once said, “It is through art and through art only that we realize our perfection; through art and art only that we can shield ourselves from the sordid perils of actual existence.” Art is a form of expression that can never grow stale, or fall flat. There are always new artists to be discovered and new art to be seen. Where would the world be without imagination or inspiration? Music and art bring peace to our daily lives. Whenever I see or hear something that inspires me it always activates a drive in me to create something just as impactful, to make a piece of art that will effect someone just as it did me when I was inspired. Art has always had a positive effect on my life. Ever sense I could physically pick up a pencil I’ve enjoyed drawing, or painting; working with my hands. It feels as if I was born to create art. As I grew older art became a larger hobby for me. I grew to enjoy seeing the work of other artists and I learned from the things they had created, to study their techniques and sketching style. Art calmed me and became a source of serenity for me as I would sometimes do it to pass the hours, or if I just had a really good idea and wanted to jot it down.
