You’re on top of a hill. Your lungs burn, leg muscles sore. You feel the cool, gentle breeze against you and the endorphins running through your veins. You look over the magnificent view. All the houses heaped together and you wonder, “Where is mine?”. And on the other side there is scenery that only looks like it could have been painted. Or how about it’s a Saturday night and your with one of your best friends. You go outside to get a change of scene and also to burn off that family-sized share pack of Doritos you have eaten between you. You know that your being way too noisy for the neighbours but their sleep is the last thing on your mind. Only if you took a little more time to enjoy your life and appreciate the little things. I hope to inform you on how to latch on to moments and find more where you wish you could pause it and live in it forever. Because who wouldn’t?

Only if you took a little more time to be with your family and friends. We all have family whether you like it or not. I think that everyone should plan to have time with their family. To me, not all people I consider family are related to me by blood. They are close friends that will allow me to be my complete and utter self, like my friends at Embassy Youth Group. So yes, you can choose some of your family. Whether it is family or friends, you should choose to spend time with them, especially on special occasions. Whether it is on your birthday or theirs. Something so underrated. But when you see a friend or a random person with a tear-stained face, I can tell you that just a hint of a smile can help them. Why do you not want to do something that helps their situation become a little bit better? A simple hello when walking past someone on the street can brighten their whole day. Make them feel rescosigned and important. And who knows what they are going through? For all you know is that they could have just been fired from their dream job, just been evicted from their house, broken up with their partner of 10 years, are in their darkest and lowest point and their life, just found out they have Stage 3 Cancer and the list goes on.
