Due to the advancement of technology, many people have traded in their responsibilities for machines that complete their chores in a quicker and easier manner. Hand-washing dishes is one of the many household chores that has been replaced by machines. Instead of doing the task themselves many people rely on dishwashers to complete the task for them. Even though this may cut their work time in half, it is always good to have a backup option to fall on when dishwashers break. Hand-washing dishes only takes up 20-30 minutes of your time depending on the extremity. Although the act of hand-washing dishes is disliked by many, it is relatively easy owing to the fact that it can be completed in four easy steps: arranging, filling, washing, and rinsing/drying. Before you start filling the sink with water you want to plug the drain to prevent water from escaping. Next, fill up the sink with hot water from the faucet. You want to allow the water level to be a little less than halfway to avoid overflowing your sink. After that, you are ready to add soap inside the water. Make sure you follow the amount the label says because soap companies have different concentrations and adding too much or too little can affect the way the dishes are cleaned. When you are done putting the soap in the water, stick your hand inside and move it at a steady rate back and forth to create suds. At this time you can now put the dishes in the sink but not all once because it will be too crowded and messy. After completing that you have the choice to soak them for about 10 minutes or immediately get washing depending on the amount of stuck-on food you have.
