Joey let out a breath with a sigh, as he walked into class and sat in his usual spot that is next to his best friend Yugi.

Whispers erupted in the room as he walked in, making Joey feel uncomfortable.

He knew the other students were whispering about him, because as of yesterday afternoon Seto Kaiba became his guardian.

He couldn't blame them really; it was extremely odd and weird to him because the brunette and he argued regally.

They insulted each other a lot, and now suddenly Kaiba went from being hateful toward him, to legally family.

Joey knew many foster homes had controlling know-it-all foster parents and Joey didn't want to go there.

It was one of many reasons Joey didn't want to go.

Joey was going to be put into a foster home, but the brunette C.E.O fought for him in court surprising many including Joey.

Kaiba had refused to let them put Joey into a foster home.

Joey didn't quite understand why Kaiba decided to step up to become his guardian; the multimillionaire seemed to dislike Joey.

Of course the brunette got his way, he is rich enough to provide everything Joey needed and wanted.

It saved the government spending people's taxes on Joey to live.

Joey knew the court hearing had been publicly viewed on the news, since there were cameras around the court room.

Honestly, Joey just wished his father hadn't died in the accident.

In fact he wished his father never got into his friend's car that night, but the blond couldn't stop him.

Joey wasn't there when his father got into the car to come home…..

He blamed himself for not telling his father to get a taxi home from a night out with his friends at the bar.

His father had been celebrating his promotion from work, after working so hard in rehab and at work.

"Ugh, how do girls do this when shopping for hours?" Joey complained as he walked out of the mall with his guardian Seto Kaiba.

"It was an hour stop whining, I don't like doing shopping either, did you rather I sent you with a maid?"

Joey's eyes widened as he protested, not at all happy about that.

"No I'd be stuck putting clothes and shoes for hours, that's torture!"

Kaiba chuckled in amusement, and then headed toward the car with Joey in tow.

Joey cursed and muttered about how it wasn't funny, though he thanked the fact that Kaiba asked to get everything delivered.

He let out a breath with a sigh as he got into the car, and couldn't wait to go to his room.

After homework, he wanted to take a nap before dinner, since he is tired.

Kaiba was going to be going to Kaiba Corp after dropping him off anyway.
